Arsenal may be considering a bid for Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, according to El Gol Digital.

Gunners fans should take this rumour with a massive pinch of salt though as the transfer fee that they are reporting for this deal sounds ridiculous.

The 30 year old is out of contract in the summer, and Arsenal could simply sign up the Spaniard on a pre-contract agreement in January, but for some reason El Gol report that the Gunners could bid €20million for the keeper.

Arsenal were linked to a £7m bid for the player back in 2013 but if you bear in mind the fact that Guaita has spent most of his career in Valencia’s reserves, it makes it all sound rather absurd. I think El Gol may have misplaced a 0 when reporting the fee.

El Gol‘s angle on it is that Valencia have a 25% sell-on clause on Guaita which would mean they could use some of the funds to bring midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia permanently from Inter Milan. I think we can safely say that they will not be getting anything.
