Crystal Palace are lining up a January bid for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to the Daily Mail.
New Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is a huge admirer of the 25 year old after working with him in his previous role as England manager. The midfielder has less than 12 months left on his contract at the Emirates, and will be able to talk to foreign clubs at the beginning of the next transfer window about a free transfer next summer.
Hodgson is however prepared to make a bid for Wilshere in January if the England international remains on the fringes of the Arsenal squad.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has said that Wilshere is working hard to fight his way back into his first team plans, but if the midfielder doesn’t manage to convince the Frenchman, and he doesn’t earn a new deal, Arsenal are likely to accept any transfer bid for the player in January.
