Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been linked with a move to Inter Milan after the Italian club’s president Erick Thohir expressed an interest in the player.
The German playmaker’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and negotiations over a new deal have slowed down according to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Ozil has not been included in Germany’s squad for the games against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan in October. The midfielder has only recently recovered from a knee injury which has kept him out for a couple of weeks, but his form at the start of this season has also been questioned.
In four starts for Arsenal this season, the midfielder has failed to score or provide an assist, and the fact that he has not signed a new deal has meant Gunners fans are not feeling too complimentary about the player in response to these latest transfer rumours.
Here is some of the Twitter reaction to Ozil’s prospective switch to Italy.
why, as a gooner, am not worried? Like i dont care whether he stays or not lol no big deal

Let him go to Inter Milan. Hasn’t signed a contract with us. Obviously isn’t serious about staying. #Ozil #Arsenal #afc
