O’Riley could very well feature for England at the Under 17 World Cup next month in India after being called up to play in friendlies against Brazil and South Africa.
It is a reward for the 16 year old’s fine start to the season for Fulham, having already started for the club in the first round and second round of the Carabao Cup.
He made his senior debut for the first team against Wycombe Wanderers, and then followed that up with another good performance in the second round of the competition against Bristol Rovers.
He has yet to make his debut in the Championship but that hasn’t stopped the Gunners taking notice of the playmaker’s undoubted talents. Manager Arsene Wenger will however be hoping that O’Riley will want to take the next stage of his development at Arsenal rather than at City.
