Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Uruguayan winger Federico Martinez, according to the Sun, but the newspaper reports that Everton and Atletico Madrid are currently the firm favourites to sign the 21 year old.
The midfielder plays in the Uruguayan Premier Division for Liverpool in Montevideo, and observers of the youngster have likened his style to Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria.
Martinez generally plays on the right wing, cutting in from the flank, but he has also played a number of games as a left winger. He is still in the early stages of his career, but he has already played 58 games for his club, since making his debut against Nacional during a league match in December 2015.
The winger has yet to make his debut for the Uruguayan national side, and it must be said that he currently lacks an end product with just one goal and five assists coming during his 50+ matches so far.
