youth academy player has made a permanent switch to Eindhoven, according to Eindhovens Dagblad.

The Dutch newspaper says that the 18 year old has signed a three year contract with the Eredivisie side, and will join up with Jong who play in the Dutch second division.

Malen was signed by the Gunners from in 2015, and he was selected for the club’s pre-season tour of Australia and earlier this summer. He made his debut for the senior side against Sydney FC in a 2-0 win, and also featured in the friendly against in Shanghai.

Despite being praised by Arsene for his performances on the tour, Malen obviously has not done enough to convince the Frenchman that he can make it as a future player.

The striker has caps for the Netherlands at Under 19 level, and he will now be trying to make a name for himself playing in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.
