Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere wants a January transfer to West Ham United after failing to make the matchday squad for the club’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea at the weekend, according to the Daily Star.
The Hammers were reportedly put off by the midfielder’s asking price in the summer, but they could try to snap up the 25 year old on a cut price deal when the midfielder has just six months left on his contract at the Emirates in January.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has said that Wilshere can break back into the club’s first team plans, but that looks highly unlikely at the moment after the England international’s latest omission for a league game.
He will probably feature in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night against Doncaster Rovers, as he did against Cologne in the Europa League on Thursday. The cup competitions will almost certainly be the only matches where he can impress prospective new teams in order to get a move away from the club.
