The 22 year old starred for Serbia in the recent international break, scoring and providing an assist in the 3-0 win over Moldova last Saturday. He has scored on both appearances for his country so far, and is making a strong case to be named in the final squad for next year’s World Cup, if his team seal qualification by finishing top of Group D.
For Frankfurt, Gacinovic has played 46 times since his £1.1m move from Vojvodina two years ago. He has played in a variety positions for the German club, playing on the left wing, right wing or in central midfield. He started this season in good form, scoring a goal in the opening round of the German Cup against TuS Erndtebruck, before starting the first two Bundesliga matches of the season.
