Besiktas have offered Arsenal right back Mathieu Debuchy €2.5million a year to join the Turkish champions, according to Takvim.

The Frenchman is however just one of the options the Super Lig side are considering with Hamburg’s Japanese international full back Gotoku Sakai also on the club’s radar.

Debuchy is not in Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s plans for the new season despite having two years left on his contract at the Emirates. The Frenchman was poised to join Nice last month but the move broke down after the French side opted to sign veteran right back Christophe Jallet from Lyon instead.

Another Ligue One club have however reportedly entered the race for Debuchy in recent days. French newspaper L’Equipe say Marseille are interested in signing the 32 year old.

A move for the defender may only take place at the end of month though as they have to sell players before they buy any more during the transfer window.
