Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keeping an eye on his former Bayern Munich player Kingsley Coman, according to Telefoot, with Arsenal also looking at the pacey French winger.

Guardiola signed the 21 year old from Juventus on a two season loan deal back in 2015. The midfielder joined Bayern permanently this summer for €21m but the French TV station reported that the Gunners made an enquiry about the player last month.

The departure of another winger Douglas Costa on an initial loan spell to Juventus, as reported by SportNation.com, means that Bayern are currently not interested in selling Coman, although Telefoot say Arsenal may yet put in a bid for the winger before the end of the transfer window to tempt the Bundesliga champions into selling.

Coman is likely a backup option if the Gunners cannot sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar. Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal are still locked in discussions about signing the 21 year old from the Ligue One club, but they are facing competition from Barcelona.

As for Man City, they’ve been installed as favourites for the league this season, much the opposite to Liverpool who are as long as 20/1 with SportNation.bet due to the potential departure of Philippe Coutinho.
