Liverpool have joined Arsenal and a number of other top European clubs in pursuing Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici, according to Football Whispers.

The 20 year old was linked with a move to the Emirates at the end of last season, but things have gone quiet over the summer as manager Arsene Wenger has focused his attention on strengthening the first team.

Jurgen Klopp and his scouting department are however believed to be impressed by Yazici and could make a bid for the player before the end of the transfer window.

A £7m asking price has been reported but it seems that interest from Arsenal, Manchester United, Lyon and PSV Eindhoven, among others, has encouraged Trabzonspor to push up the price tag.

In the Turkish Super Lig last season, Yazici played 18 times, scoring four goals and providing six assists. He generally plays in the number 10 position but can also play from the left hand side and float into the centre of midfield.
