Arsenal and a host of other clubs look to have lost out to Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho, according to both the Sun and the Mirror.

Sancho was reportedly unhappy to be left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States by manager Pep Guardiola, and has recently turned down a new deal worth £30,000 a week as he is seeking more first team opportunities.

The 17 year old moved to City from Watford in March 2015, and has proceeded to make excellent progress through the club’s youth ranks. His performances in the UEFA Youth League, FA Youth Cup and the Under 18 Premier League last season were particularly impressive.

In all competitions last campaign, the left winger scored 22 goals in 33 appearances, including hitting back of the net three times in seven appearances for City’s Under 23 side in Premier League 2. The teenager seems to be seeking a move to make the next step in his career and it looks likely that Germany will be the next destination for the England Under 17 international.
