Sevilla may consider paying Arsenal’s asking price for striker Lucas Perez according to AS.

The Madrid based publication report Deportivo La Coruna remain convinced they will be able to sign the 28 year old before Thursday, but they are concerned that the rival La Liga club could step in at the last minute as they desperately look to sign a striker before deadline day.

Sevilla have missed out on Inter Milan forward Stevan Jovetic with the Montenegrin all but sealing a move to Monaco, and they may turn their attentions back to Perez after being beaten by Arsenal to the signing of the Spaniard last summer.

The Gunners are holding steadfast to their €15million valuation of the player and they have not been prepared to compromise on their asking price. With Deportivo not prepared to meet the amount demanded, Arsenal are looking for other suitors.

La Liga club Levante offered a lucrative loan proposal but the player was said to have turned down the Spanish side’s interests. He is believed to be determined to re-join Deportivo but he could be interested in playing Champions League football if Sevilla come calling.
