Arsenal are keen on selling midfielder Jack Wilshere to a foreign club rather than to another English team, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italian website says that the Gunners are willing to sell the 25 year old for £9million (€10million) with the player only having a year left on his current deal, and the closest to matching their demands so far has been Turkish club Antalyaspor with a £7.6m (€8.5m) bid.
Multiple reports in the English press have said that Wilshere will not consider a move abroad, with West Ham United said to be leading the race among Premier League clubs for the midfielder’s signature.
Tuttomercatoweb however say Wilshere is gradually being convinced of the idea that a transfer away from England could be good for his career. Whether that club will be Antalyaspor, it is not yet known. One club that are certain not to return to the bidding are Sampdoria who have pulled out of the race after being priced out. Whether other teams on the continent will come forward, we will have to wait and see.
