Inter are trying to sign winger on loan despite the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian press reported earlier this month that Arsenal and were also interested in the player but that Inter had won the race for the Under 21 international.

It seems as though the Italian side are unwilling to pay Caen’s valuation despite other clubs having matched their asking price. Instead Inter are looking for to extend the player’s contract in order for the loan move to go ahead.

Whether this leaves any hope for the Gunners, it is unknown. Karamoh is said to have his heart set on the move to Italy but so far no deal has been agreed despite the window closing at the end of next week.

If no takes place, and the 19 year old’s contract is not renewed, interested clubs will have the opportunity of talking to the player in January about a free transfer next summer.
