Inter Milan have failed with a bid of €6million for Caen winger Yann Karamoh, according to Calciomercato.com.

Arsenal and Saint-Etienne are believed to have made superior bids for the 19 year old but the player is said to have his heart set on a move to Italy.

The Nerazzurri are now believed to be weighing up their options. They could either raise their bid to €8million, which is reportedly what Saint-Etienne have already proposed, or alternatively they could wait until January.

Karamoh’s contract expires at the end of the season when he can leave on a free transfer. If Inter do decide to hold off on signing the midfielder this month, it could  re-open the possibility of Arsenal or another club signing the Frenchman.

For Caen last season, Karamoh played 36 times in all competitions, scoring five times and contributing six assists. He has also made his debut for the French Under 21s this summer, coming on as a substitute in a friendly against Albania back in June.
