Arsenal could yet hijack Inter Milan’s deal for Caen striker Yann Karamoh according to Tuttosport journalist Stefano Pasquini.

The Serie A side are said to be very confident in sealing a deal for the 19 year old. The player has expressed a desire to join Inter, and the Italian club have reportedly offered €5million plus bonuses to make the deal happen.

It seems however there is some doubt over whether the offer will be enough. Karamoh has one year left on his contract at Caen and the club’s head coach Patrice Garande has confirmed that the forward won’t be at the club after transfer deadline day at the end of the month:

“We expect two players to come in from the market as Karamoh will leave. I hope to have them both next week: Karamoh is training but will not play until 31 August.”

This surely suggests that Inter’s deal for the player is not as close to being finalised as some reports have stated. The Gunners had offered a deal for the France Under 21 international which was higher than Inter’s bid. Will Caen go against the players wishes, and agree to sell to the Premier League club instead? We will have to wait and see.
