Udinese midfielder and reported Arsenal target Jakub Jankto has revealed he was a boyhood fan of the Gunners.
Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper the Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Czech international was asked about what clubs he supported as a child, and he replied:
“Arsenal and Juventus.”
The 21 year old has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates throughout last season, and has again been talked about as a potential signing this summer.
Jankto played his first season in Serie A for Udinese last campaign. He had previously been sent out on loan to Serie B club Ascoli, but has been equally impressive playing both in the second tier and first tier of Italian football.
A central midfielder, with a strong left foot, he scored five goals and provided four assists in 30 games for Udinese in the 2016/17 season, playing a more prominent role for the Serie A club as the campaign progressed. He also made his senior international debut back in March, scoring on his first appearance against Lithuania in a 3-0 win.
