Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan missed pre-season training on Monday morning, according to Sport, prompting rumours that a move away from the was imminent.

Any talk of a was quickly dampened later in the day when manager and technical director denied any bid for Arda had been made, but Sport is sure that the Turkish international’s time in Spain is up.

Questions remain over his potential destination but the Catalan newspaper are speculating that Arsenal, along with three Turkish clubs, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are the clubs most interested.

The main priority currently is Thomas Lemar. It has been reported that will have to break their record once again to sign the Monaco winger. The Mirror‘s John Cross reports that the £52m they paid Lyon for may soon be eclipsed by the signing of the midfielder.

It could be the case that if they fail to land Lemar, boss Arsene may turn his attentions to Arda as secondary option.
