Portuguese newspaper A Bola believe Portuguese international midfielder ’s future will be decided this week.

They report four British clubs are watching the 25 year old, with , , and United all believed to be in the running for the star’s signature.

Question remarks remain however over who will make a bid for the holding midfield player. Sporting are looking to offload Carvalho to finance their summer transfer spending plans but they are holding out for €30m (£26.7m).

In the past, West Bromwich Albion looked the likeliest destination for the the midfielder. Back in January, A Bola reported that the Baggies had a €30m offer rejected by Sporting, but then then returned with a much lower offer of €20m this summer.

Even with the Portuguese club seemingly desperate to sell now, a bid from still doesn’t seem at all likely. With a number of holding midfielders already in the squad, manager Arsene may be prioritising signings in other areas of the pitch this summer.
