Real Betis will rival Fenerbahce for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, according to Fanatik.

The Turkish publication are reporting that the La Liga side are interested in a loan deal for the 28 year old, similar to Fenerbahce’s proposed offer.

Arsenal are however reluctant to let the forward leave on a temporary basis. They are seeking a permanent deal, which Fenerbahce in particular, will find it hard to agree to. Due to Financial Fair Play regulations, the Turkish club will not be able to match the €15m asking price that has been set for Perez, according to Taksim.

The Turkish newspaper reported yesterday that Fenerbahce administrative manager Hasan Cetinkaya would travel to London in order to hold talks with Perez, but without any agreement in place with his club Arsenal, any switch looks a long way off.

The striker has not made the trip to Australia with Arsenal’s first team for the club’s pre-season tour and has been replaced as the club’s number nine by new record signing Alexandre Lacazette.
