Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho’s future at the Etihad stadium has been placed in further doubt after he was left out of the club’s pre-season tour squad of the United States, according to the Sun.

City manager Pep Guardiola had intimated that the promising 17 year old would be included in the tour party for the three matches against Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham.

The fact that he was left behind in England has prompted speculation that Sancho will look to move on with Arsenal, Tottenham and RB Leipzig all watching developments closely.

The forward only joined from Watford for £500,000 two years ago, but the sheer number of attacking players that Guardiola has at his disposal, makes it very hard for a player like Sancho to make an impact on the first team.

With the winger seemingly not being given a chance to impress Guardiola during pre-season, it suggests senior appearances for the player will be limited. The City boss was known for offering first team chances to youngsters whilst at Barcelona but he has already spent over £100m on four new signings so far this summer.
