Monaco have signed Feyenoord full back Terence Kongolo, beating Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund to the Dutch international’s signature, according to France Football.

Kongolo has signed a five year contract to join the Ligue One champions for €13m (£11.4m). The 23 year old helped Feyenoord to their first Eredivisie title for 18 years last season, making 32 appearances in all competitions, mostly playing as a left back.

Feyenoord lost just four times last campaign, conceding only 25 goals in 34 league matches, as they pipped Europa League finalists Ajax to the title by one point.

Kongolo is a Dutch international after gaining his first cap in 2014 against Ecuador. He hasn’t played for his country though since 2015 when he played 90 minutes in a friendly against Wales.

The defender is likely being lined up as a replacement for Benjamin Mendy at full back who has been hotly tipped to make the move to the Premier League with Manchester City this summer.
