The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez is heading for talks with the Gunners today in order to push through the Spaniard’s move back to Deportivo La Coruna, according to AS.
Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle is believed to be in London in order to try and persuade Arsenal to accept the La Liga’s side’s offer. Arsene Wenger’s side haven’t responded to the bid yet but will likely make a decision in the coming days.
Depor have offered €10million (£8.9m), half of what Arsenal paid them for the player exactly a year ago, but the Spanish side are hopeful that the Premier League club will accept the bid.
The Gunners have struggled to find buyer for the 28 year old with Fenerbahce and Real Betis the other suitors. Both teams however wanted a loan deal for the player; something Arsenal were not willing to accept.
Lovelle revealed last week that the the Gunners will accept a bid of €12million so perhaps there may be room for some negotiation with Deportivo. With a month to go to the end of the transfer window however, AS suggest that Arsenal could wait to see if any other offers come in for Perez.
