Sevilla are yet to decide whether they will make a bid for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez this summer, according to the Estadio Deportivo.
The local newspaper reports that sporting director Oscar Arias will wait until a replacement for manager Jorge Sampaoli is appointed before prioritising any summer transfer targets.
Sampaoli left Sevilla to become Argentina manager after guiding the Spanish club to fourth in La Liga last season. Eduardo Berizzo is the favourite to take over at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium with Arias reportedly meeting with the former Celta Vigo boss next week to negotiate.
Berizzo is however reportedly unhappy with Sevilla’s contract offer which is believed to be ess than the money he was offered by Celta to stay on as head coach. Until the managerial situation is sorted, any move for Perez will have to wait.
Estadio Deportivo do report however Sevilla would be willing to pay the reported €15million (£13m) asking price that Arsenal have placed on the 28 year old.
