Italian giants enter race to sign one of Arsenal’s key summer targets

|

Juventus will look to make a bid for Arsenal target Thomas Lemar if they can’t seal the transfer of Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via Football-Italia.net).

The Daily Telegraph have reported that the Monaco star is one of three French players Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is targeting this summer, but it looks as though the London club may have some competition for his signature.

Juve’s deal for Costa hinges on Bayern agreeing to lower their €40m valuation of the player with the Bianconeri only prepared to pay €30m. Lemar is second on the list of wingers they are targeting, the Corriere Dello Sport reports, as alternative deals for Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi and Lazio’s Keita Balde Diao are unlikely to go ahead with both clubs refusing to sell to one of their league rivals.

A deal by either Arsenal or Juventus for Lemar doesn’t look that straightforward either though, with Monaco keen to keep hold of the 21 year old as they attempt to prevent an exodus of players this summer.
