Borussia Monchengladbach have beaten a whole host of Premier League clubs to the signing of Young Boys central midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Blick.
The Swiss publication report that the Bundesliga side have agreed a €12m (£10.4m) fee for the highly rated Swiss international. Arsenal, Liverpool, Swansea City and Crystal Palace had all been monitoring the 20 year old, while German clubs RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen were also in the mix.
Zakaria had spent two years at Young Boys after joining form Servette for £340,000 in July 2015. He went on to make 67 appearances for the Swiss outfit, as well as making his senior international debut during his time at the club, playing against Belgium in a 2-1 friendly defeat last May.
He has gone on to make two more appearances for Switzerland, both substitute appearances, with the last coming against Andorra in October. For his club, Zakaria played 34 games last season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
