Reports in Germany are suggesting that Alexis Sanchez is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich this summer.
The 28-year-old’s future at Arsenal is in doubt with only a year left to run on his existing deal at the Emirates and there is strong interest across Europe for his signature.
Paris Saint-German, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan and Chelsea have all been linked with a big-money move for Sanchez, but Kicker (via The Sun) claim Bayern Munich are leading the pack and will offer him a massive £21.7million-a-year deal.
Sanchez’s representative Fernando Felicevich was reportedly in Germany last month to hold talks with Bayern chiefs.
Sanchez was Arsenal’s top scorer last season, scoring a total of 29 goals in all competitions, but the Chilean cut a frustrated figure at times during the campaign, and the failure to finish in the top four could sway his decision to leave the Emirates rather than sign an extension to remain.
Arsene Wenger has stated that Sanchez will be an Arsenal player next season even if he does not sign a new deal, and should the Chilean decide to leave this summer then the Frenchman would rather sell the star striker abroad rather than to a Premier League rival.
