Barcelona value their midfielder Arda Turan at €65million (£57m) according to Yeni Safak.
The Turkish newspaper say that interest from China has prompted the Catalan club to up their asking price for the 30 year old. Arsenal had been linked with Arda in recent weeks but if this number is genuine, it would surely end any interest from the Gunners.
The sudden increase in valuation is reportedly due to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande, who are believed to have enquired about the Turkish international’s availability.
Guangzhou’s representatives were reportedly taken aback by Barca’s transfer demands but Yeni Safak say it will not necessarily deter the Chinese club from bidding for the playmaker.
Arda only signed for the La Liga club two years ago in a €34million deal. He played 30 times in all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and contributing seven assists. The Turkish star is said to be happy to stay at the Camp Nou but a sizeable bid from the Far East may lead Barcelona to consider selling the midfielder.
