Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal to sign Barcelona outcast Arda Turan, according to reports in Turkey.
Turan, 30, has struggled to cement a place in the Barcelona starting line-up since his move from Atletico Madrid two-year ago, and it’s now believed that he has been given the green light to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
Arsenal have previously been linked with a move for Turan before moving to Barcelona in 2015 and were once again supposedly keen on the attacking midfielder during the January transfer window.
According to Turkish publication Haberturk (via talkSPORT) the Gunners are keen on signing Turan this summer and a deal is on the verge of being completed.
The Turkey international has made just 36 appearances for the Catalan club and looks to become surplus to requirements with new coach Ernesto Valverde ready to listen to offers.
However, should Arsenal want to sign Turan then they will need to move quickly as several clubs across Europe and China are also eyeing him up.
