Arsenal will try to tie down Aaron Ramsey to a new deal with two years remaining on his current contract, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have entered the last year of their respective deals without agreeing to new contracts and the Gunners are determined not to make the same mistake with Ramsey.
The Welsh international is 26 years of age and is entering the prime of his career. The Telegraph report he is currently earning over £100,000 a week, and will likely get a sizeable pay rise from Arsenal in order for him to remain at the Emirates beyond a contract which currently expires in 2019.
Ramsey was plagued by hamstring and calf injuries last season but still managed to play 32 games in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists. He did manage to start six of the last eight Premier League games, and Arsenal fans will be hoping he can stay fit next season to produce high quality performances on a consistent basis.
