The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has said that Sevilla are not interested in signing the Spaniard.
Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle was speaking to Radio Marca Coruna when he revealed he had not been in contact with the Spanish club. He said that although former Sporting Director Monchi (now at Roma) was interested in the 28 year old, he has no idea whether his replacement Oscar Arias is a fan or not:
“There has not been any interest this year. Now he [Monchi] is not [there] and they have a new Technical Director I do not know if they would like Lucas.”
Fernandez Lovelle confirmed to the Press Association (via the Metro) that Perez will be allowed to leave the Emirates this summer after failing to establish himself in the first team.
After making the £17m move from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, he scored seven goals in 21 matches for the Gunners, but made just nine starts in all competitions. His former club Depor are reportedly keen to re-sign the Spaniard, while Turkish side Fenerbahce have also been linked with a move for the forward.
