Arsenal target Emil Forsberg looks increasingly settled at his current club RB Leipzig, going by his agent Hasan Cetinkaya’s latest comments.

He is quoted by the Independent as saying that the Bundesliga side are “destroying his dreams” by not allowing him to move to a new club this summer:

“I and Emil have always accepted the club and the contracts with them, He has been involved with them all the way and broke records in their shirt. Both me and Emil have spoken to the club about his ambition, his future and his dreams.”

“They didn’t buy him for €15m, but for €3m and he signed a new contract and paid them back 10 times. They will have to live with the fact that they are destroying his dreams.”

The Swedish international only signed a new deal back in February which keeps him at the club until the summer of 2022. With five years remaining on the contract, RB Leipzig are in a strong position with the player.

The club’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick has repeatedly stated that the team’s best players will not be sold this summer. Forsberg was an integral part of the squad that finished second in the Bundesliga last season, contributing eight goals and 22 assists in 30 league appearances.

With Arsenal reportedly prioritising Monaco’s Thomas Lemar as a signing for the wide areas this summer, Forsberg’s “dream” of leaving Leipzig for a bigger club looks unlikely, unless another team makes a move for the 25 year old.
