The 31-year-old Frenchman is arguably ’ best defender, but their consistent failure to challenge for the title could tempt him to leave the Emirates this summer.

French TV programme Telefoot (via The Sun), the Arsenal centre-back is on Marseille’s wishlist as the club prepare to sign high-profile players during the summer transfer window.

Marseille have already signed Dimitri Payet from West Ham in January, as well as Patrice Evra from Juventus, and have been linked with a move as well in recent weeks.

Pep Guardiola is also set to spend big this summer and his make a major reshuffle to his defence, with Koscielny said to be on his radar.
