Inter Milan have entered the race to sign Real Madrid right back Danilo, according to Cadena Ser (via Tribal Football).

Arsenal have been linked with the Brazilian as a possible replacement for Hector Bellerin, but the Spanish radio station say that the Serie A club are keen on the full back and have already made a “very good offer” for the 25 year old.

Real are said to be prepared to cut their losses on a player they signed from Porto for £27million two years ago, with reports suggesting that £17million (€20m) could be enough to land the defender.

Danilo has played 25 matches in all competitions, and started the last four league matches of the season as Zinedine Zidane’s side clinched their first La Liga title for five years. The club are however believed to be keen to allow youngster Achraf Hakimi game time next season and compete with first choice right back Dani Carvajal.

Cadena Ser pundit Mario Torrejon explained the situation (translated by Tribal Football):

“Danilo has a very good offer from Inter Milan and in the club they want to sell him and promote Achraf to the first team to compete with Carvajal. The transfer is not closed, but the offer is good and in the club environment they think they will sell him.”
