Arsenal have shown the “most interest” in Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to the Sun. The Gunners will however face competition from Chelsea and other clubs if they want to land the 23 year old.
Belotti has had a breakout season in Italy scoring 26 goals in Serie A, and looks to be one of the summer’s most sought after transfer targets. Even in January, Torino Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi had revealed they had rejected a £56m offer from Arsenal, but that bid was swiftly denied by the Gunners.
The Italian international would likely cost a significant amount, and it seems a bid may be dependent on the future of Alexis Sanchez, who has yet to commit to a new deal despite having just 12 months to run on his current contract.
Chelsea are also keen on the forward, the Sun reports, but manager Antonio Conte is said to have made re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton the club’s first priority this summer.
