Arsenal are among the clubs tracking Hoffenheim striker Filston Mawana, according to fotbolltransfers.com.

The Swedish website report that the 17 year old is being scouted by six teams with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Benfica, RB Leipzig, Juventus as well as the Gunners keeping an eye on the forward.

The Swedish Under 17 international only moved to Germany from Malmo in January, and Arsenal were keen on the player even before his switch to the Bundesliga, but it seems the Gunners are continuing their pursuit.

Speaking to fotbolltransfers.com earlier this week, Mawana’s agent Andre Filipe Jenaro said that two clubs were scouting the youngster when Hoffenheim Under 17s faced St Kickers recently. Even though the striker has a contract until 2021 at the German club, he wouldn’t rule out another move in the summer:

“Filston has done well in Germany. Some of the clubs also followed him during his time at Malmo FF. Bayern Munich and Chelsea watched his recent internationals and games for Hoffenheim… Filston has really thrived at Hoffenheim, but, of course, we should not rule anything out. I think a move could happen for the right bid and the right challenge.”

So far during his six month spell with Hoffenheim, Mawana has scored eight goals in nine matches for the Under 17s in the B-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest division.
