Alexis Sanchez is arguably Arsenal’s best players in the current squad. The Chilean is also deemed by many neutral and rival fans as a class act and one of the top players currently operating in the Premier League.

However, in the past month or so, many have questioned his lack of professionalism after throwing numerous tantrums following poor Arsenal results and have also asked whether he is indeed a world class act.

Well, courtesy of Oulala.com, here are nine stats that prove the 28-year-old is up there with the finest around Europe:

Of the 513 players to have appeared in the Premier League this season, the Chilean has directly been involved in the most goals (27). Sanchez is also currently the third top scorer in the Premier League with 18, only Harry Kane (19) and Romelu Lukaku (21) has more. The Chile international also sits in fourth position in the assists charts with nine, has created 76 chances for the Gunners so far this season while also having 80 successful dribbles and registering the fifth most shots (95) of any player in the Premier League.

The stats go on to show that Sanchez is not one to shy away from his defensive duties, ranking second of all forwards (83) for tackles won (40), interceptions (18) and passes (1,189).

His future is currently up in the air with no signs of a new deal being agreed and while some may continue to criticize him for his lack of running, his contribution in goals and assists have been invaluable to Arsenal this season.
