Lucas Perez wants to leave Arsenal and rejoin former club Deportivo La Coruna this summer, if Arsene Wenger stays on as manager, according to reports in Spain.

The Spanish forward, 28, only joined the Gunners from the La Liga club last summer for a reported fee of £17million but has had limited opportunities so far this season.

As a result of lack of game time, it’s been suggested that Perez is seeking a move away from Arsenal this summer, a claim which he has denied but his agent has confirmed.

Perez is behind the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud and, according to La Voz de Galicia, the forward is now considering a swift exit from the Emirates this summer.

Perez was a key player for Deportivo La Coruna before joining Arsenal and it’s understood that he would like to return to his boyhood club.

The Arsenal man is keen to play regularly as he eyes up a place in the Spain squad for World Cup 2018, and a season-long loan move could be in the offing this summer.
