Arsenal first-team coach Boro Primorac says Arsene Wenger is not considering leaving the club this season as it’s more than just about results.

Earlier in the week, Primorac was linked with a move to Turkey, but Wenger quickly quashed rumours that his closest ally for more than 20 years was set to leave the Emirates.

Now Primorac claims Wenger, whose contract expires this summer, is not even thinking about leaving the north London club. He also mentioned that the club is not all about results but a business too which will surely rile sections of the Emirates faithful.

Quoted in Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List (via The Sun), Primorac said on the matter:

“Wenger isn’t considering leaving Arsenal.

“Of course it is ugly to lose 5-1 twice in the Champions League, even though it came vs Bayern.

“We understand how fans are not happy, neither are we.

“But as for critics, there are no less grateful persons in football than fans and ex-players.

“Arsenal’s strength in the past 20 years has been Wenger.

“It is not all about results, but also business part of the club that matters.”

Wenger has stated that he will make a decision on his future come the end of this month or sometime in April. It did have fans wondering whether he will finally walk after nearly 21 years of service, but he has since dropped major hints that he will continue on as manager of the club and sign the new two-year deal that has been offered to him.

One way or another, Arsene’s future needs to be clarified sooner rather than later.
