Arsenal are drawing up a list of replacements for goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to Bleacher Report.
Sources have told the website that the Gunners are looking at a number of possible signings as they seek a long term successor to the Czech international.
Cech, now 34, has a contract that runs until 2019, and his agent Viktor Kolar has spoken out to deny that Cech’s future at the Emirates is in doubt. He expects the keeper to remain at Arsenal until his deal expires in two and a half years time.
Wojciech Szczesny, who is currently on loan at Roma, is expected to return to England after a two year spell in Italy, and at 26, he could be an option for Arsene Wenger if he is seeking an alternative to Cech.
Whether the Bleacher Report’s information is accurate, we will have to wait and see, although it is possible that the Gunners are seeking young goalkeeping talent with Cech nearing the end of his career.
