Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal to succeed Arsene Wenger this summer and says he is happy in Germany.

Reports in Germany suggested on Sunday night that Arsenal approached Tuchel over potentially replacing Wenger this summer.

However, the Gunners have since denied any speculation about approaching the Dotmund boss, but Wenger’s future at the club still remains uncertain despite revealing that he has made a decision on the matter.

Tuchel has been named as one of the favourites to replace Wenger, along with the likes of Max Allegri and Diego Simeone. However, the German manager insist he is happy with life at Dortmund and has no interest in potentially taking over the Frenchman.

Quoted in Metro, Tuchel said:

‘I can’t give you any information about the topic because it doesn’t involve me.

“I’m happy with my job in Dortmund and have a contract, so it is of no interest to me.’

So Tuchel has taken his name off the list of potential candidates to succeed Wenger, while Allegri has reportedly been offered a three-year contract by Barcelona. It seems Wenger will remain in charge of Arsenal next season and possibly beyond.
