The Daily Mail claims Arsenal are set to battle Tottenham for Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.

The player’s agent, Pavel Paska, is holding meetings in London with both clubs ahead of a potential move over the summer.

Schick, 21, has been in impressive form for Sampdoria this season despite a lack of starts for the Serie A club since joining from Sparta Prague last summer. So far this season, the striker has netted nine goals in 25 appearances, six of which he started.

It’s believed both Arsene Wenger and Spurs chief scout Steve Hitchen will both meet Paska sometime this week to discuss a potential deal for Schick, who reportedly has a £21million release clause in his current contract, although it’s thought the player could be signed for less than required.

West Brom, Everton and Italian giants Inter Milan are also understood to be monitoring the Czech international with a view to sign this summer.
