are reportedly preparing to launch a £25million bid for Barcelona’s Arda Turan should Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil depart this summer.

The duo are looking increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season while talks over new deals have been shelved by Arsene Wenger until the summer.

Last week, Spanish publication AS claimed that Barcelona are ready to offload the 30-year-old in order to fund a new deal for Lionel Messi, and were once again linked with a move for the Turkey this summer.

The Times (via The Sun) today suggests that the hierarchy have already decided to spend the money on the potential sales of Sanchez and Ozil on the out-of-favour Barcelona playmaker, who is seen as an ideal replacement for the German.

Turan still has three-years left to run on his existing deal at the but has struggled to cement a regular first-team role in the side since joining from and appears to have become surplus to requirements at the La Liga club.

Turan will not be high on many fans’ list of replacements for Ozil as there are better option out there for the club to pursue should the German leave at the end of the season.
