It was reported a few days ago that Jack Wilshere was keen to return to Arsenal and reclaim a starting berth for the Gunners next season.

However, it seems the England international has had a change of heart, if reports are to be believed.

It’s now being claimed by the Daily Mail (via The Sun) that that the 25-year-old will seek a move to AC Milan if Arsene Wenger stays on as Arsenal manager and decides to let the midfielder leave the Emirates.

Wilshere has just one year left to run when he returns from his loan spell at Bournemouth at the end of the season and has previously suggested that his future may lie away from Arsenal.

Wenger has said that he is keen to keep Wilshere and tie him down to a new deal, but the midfielder will only sign if he is assured a regular starting role in the side next season.

With doubt in his mind, Wilshere now appears to be planning his next move in his career. If he is not guaranteed a starting berth for the Gunners next season then he will apparently seek a move to AC Milan.

AC Milan were keen to sign him on loan last summer, with a view to a permanent deal, but he opted to join Bournemouth despite David Beckham’s recommendation.

Wilshere will now consider the option to join AC Milan this summer if his demands are not met.
