Arsenal have denied suggestions that they have approached Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel to take over Arsene Wenger next season.

After Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to West Brom last Saturday, Wenger revealed that he has made his mind up about his future and will let everyone know ‘very soon’ what he has decided.

As far as we know, Wenger has been offered a new two-year deal to stay on as Arsenal manager, while reports yesterday claimed he will only stay one more season in charge.

The Arsenal board have supposedly drawn up a list of potential candidates should Wenger decide to call it quits at the end of the season and Tuchel has been mentioned on several occasions.

Reports in Germany last night claimed the Gunners have approached Tuchel to succeed Wenger this summer but it has since been dismissed by the north London club officials, according to The Independent.

Whatever the outcome of Wenger’s future, the quicker it is resolved and revealed the better for all.
