It was a week to forget for everyone involved with Arsenal after suffering back-to-back defeats to Watford and Chelsea.
The losses to both London club have left the Gunners 12 points behind Antonio Conte’s side and their title hopes all but over – unless of course your optimism level is through the roof.
However, the season moves on and next on Arsenal’s fixture list is a home game against a resurgent Hull City, and Wenger will have the tough task of getting his players mentally ready for the match this Saturday. Not only this, but the Frenchman will also have to pick the right side to beat Hull City, as his two previous team selections have been questioned by some of the Arsenal faithful.
Hector Bellerin is a 50/50 to start the game after his horrific collision with Marcos Alonso last Saturday, while Granit Xhaka serves the last of his four-game suspension. Apart from the obvious missing through injury (Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey), Wenger has a full squad to pick from.
But Wenger will surely have the trip to Bayern Munich in mind on the 15th and may decide to rest a few key players for that game.
With this in mind, who should feature in the starting XI to take on Hull City this weekend?
Well, this is the set-up I would like to see, as I don’t think we will progress past Bayern Munich:
