The Gunners were 2-0 winners over Hull City thanks to Arsenal’s talisman forward Alexis Sanchez whom once again delivered on the occasion.

The Chilean hit a brace with the first coming in the 34th minute, while the second goal came from the penalty spot in the dying minutes.

Nevertheless, it was a deserved win for the hosts as they were the better side in the game with some good individual performances.

On this note, here are my Arsenal player ratings from the game.

PETR CECH – The 34-year-old was the less busy of the two goalkeepers and had little to do in the first-half. Was alert to save Oumar Niasse’s superb strike in the 50th minute to preserve the lead for Arsenal. 6.5/10

HECTOR BELLERIN – The full-back was at it everywhere in the game. Good defensive work and was lively in transition from the right wing, coupled with flair and purposeful movement going forward. 6.5/10

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI – Great defensive work from the German who blocked every attacking tantrum from the Hull City side. Superb defensive display at the back. 6.5/10

LAURENT KOSCIELNY – The skipper had a decent game at the back. Made timely clearances and incursion in the game to keep Hull City at bay. 6.5/10

KIERAN GIBBS – The defender was good going forward in the game. He showed flair and good touches on the ball but his final ball lacked a little productivity. Great defensive work at the left-full back position. Lucky not to see red. 6/10

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN – Chamberlain is proving to be better in the centre midfield role for Arsenal as he defended well and made some great runs through the middle from deep. Great vision and flair displayed throughout. 7/10

FRANCIS COQUELIN – The midfield player added width to the Arsenal midfield and made some telling interceptions. Was guilty of a foul later in the game though. 6/10

MESUT OZIL – The German playmaker showed quality and passing incision in the game and was on hand to get in crucial delivery for his side. Lacked a little bit of pace and directness to influence the game more all round. 6.5/10

THEO WALCOTT – The forward had a decent performance. Had some decent spells in possession going forward but lacked the desired effort to beat the opposing goalkeeper in goal, amid his substitution for Mohamed Elneny. 6/10

ALEX IWOBI – The forward showed quality in the final third with some good movement on the ball along with Ozil in the box. Made some good passes forward, but lacked the required courage and intensity to trouble the opposition enough in transition. 6/10

ALEXIS SANCHEZ – Sanchez showed class and dexterity on the ball throughout. Was committed and persevering to the course as he found the breakthrough for the Gunners. Drew many fouls in the game due to his silky movement on the ball. 8/10

SUBS:

MOHAMED ELNENY – The Egyptian midfielder added width to Arsenal’s midfield in wake of the growing Hull City pressure down the line and did a good job to protect the back four. Great forward play and courage to join the attack in transition. 6/10

DANNY WELBECK – A quite appearance from the forward as intensity increased when Hull searched for an equalizer with the score line at 1-0. Great skill to go past few players in front of the 18-yard box. 5/10

LUCAS PEREZ – Great header bound for goal after been set up nicely by Sanchez from the far side which forced a red card and penalty after blocking the ball from entering the goal with his hand. 5/10
