Arsenal scout Luis Boa Morte will leave his current role to become manager of Portugal Third Division side SU Sintrense, according to the Record newspaper.

The former Gunner has been part of the club’s scouting network in Portugal watching potential targets in the Primeira Liga, and he has been spotted regularly by the Portuguese media watching Benfica and Porto matches keeping an eye on possible new signings.

Boa Morte previously spent a brief time coaching at junior level with Sporting Lisbon in the 2014/15 season, helping the development of the likes of Gelson Martins, who is now plying his trade with the club’s first team. He was then offered the opportunity to scout for Arsenal.

As well as playing for Arsenal in his playing career, Boa Morte spent a long spell at Fulham, as well as Southampton and West Ham, in England. He also was capped 28 times by Portugal, scoring one goal.
