Real Madrid are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to Sky Sport Italia (via Transfer Market Web).

The 26 year old was linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window as the Gunners sought to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.

The uncertainty over midfielder Santi Cazorla’s future with no official word over an extension to his contract that expires at the end of the season, suggests Arsenal maybe looking at other targets to replace the Spaniard.

Pjanic only moved to Turin from Roma in the summer, and has been in good form this campaign with eight goals and nine assists in 28 games in all competitions, but rumours about his future have persisted since January.

The interest from Real is not new. They have been consistently linked with the Serbian international over the last year, but the player’s move to Juve seemed to put an end to any speculation he would make a move to the Bernabeu.
